Cyberpunk 2077; A Release Date AND Keanu Reeves?!

Finally, after years of speculation and whispers, we have a release date for the highly anticipated blockbuster RPG from CD Projekt Red, developers behind The Witcher 3 (also known as the greatest game of all time). Cyberpunk 2077 will be available on April 16th, 2020, but that’s not all; Keanu Reeves, star of “The Matrix” and “John Wick” franchises, is also starring in the game, as revealed in the E3 2019 trailer released this week. If you haven’t had the chance, please treat yourself below:
CDPR has confirmed demonstrations set for E3 on the floor, so you can expect more news to come straight from the trenches of the convention center.
The Game

As far as we know, Cyberpunk will be a first-person only shooter, adventure, sci-fi RPG taking place on the futuristic streets of Night City. Everything we have seen thus far leads us to believe that the gameplay will be smooth, and faced past shooting. It is very hard to not immediately draw comparisons to another game by the name of Deus Ex: Human Revolution/Mankind Divided.
The Theme

The world of Cyberpunk is vibrant, colorful, and deadly. Every screenshot of the game seems better than the last, with a new story told with each bit of information received from the game. In addition to this, character creation for the main player has been confirmed. This means that you will be able to create your own personalized protagonists, and attack the game to your heart’s content! Replayability is still an open question in the form of NG+, but let’s not get ahead of ourselves. Think “Mass Effect” as well, because there will be certain customizable elements of your character pertaining to their persona, that might influence the storyline.
Squad Thoughts

We cannot wait to hear more from the ground floor about what Cyberpunk entails, but it’s sure to be great. CD Projekt Red are some of the best developers in the industry when it comes to attention to detail, but most importantly, appreciation for their fans, the gamers themselves. I firmly believe that we are in good hands with Cyberpunk 2077, and that we are in for a treat come Spring of next year. This has been CorneredFOX, signing out!
