The PlayStation 5 is Here! (First Look)

What’s going on everybody, Wav3yGawd here! Yesterday was a big day in the gaming world as Sony held their “PlayStation 5: The future of gaming” event after it was postponed on June 4th and rightfully so. They showed many new games, including new IP’s, that are going to be on their new PlayStation 5 console. They also took the liberty to show the console itself but we will get to that later. We have a lot of new details to share with y’all and we know you can’t wait, so let’s get started!

After months and months of speculation of what the PS5 would look like or what core features would be in this model we finally got a first look yesterday and it was worth the wait! These consoles are really taking the term “next generation gaming” to another level. Where these features are standard for a PC (maybe a little lower), on a console it is an upgrade for sure and has some speculating about the price which they still didn’t show unfortunately but the internet already has some figures out there. Check out the look and features of the new PlayStation 5 console below.

  • Ultra 4k HD Blu Ray

  • Ultra High Speed SSD

What it comes with:

  • Wireless DualSense Controller

Also as you can see from the picture above that there are two consoles, that is because one is the standard PS5 and the other one is the digital edition. Which could mean one would be less than the other, personally I think the digital will be less because now you don’t have to buy discs at all. As I stated before, they neglected to show the price which was odd because now I think that this will be on the higher end and I don’t know if my wallet will be able to take that. During the event Sony also announced a lot of games they are both working on and that are coming out soon. Below you can see a list of the games they put on display yesterday!

There was also a good amount of gameplay, most of these games looked really good as well as fun! Out of this list, there are 7 games that I definitely want and 2 games that I might look at in the future. The six games that will definitely be in my collection are, Horizon: Forbidden West, NBA 2K21, Godfall, Kena: Bridge of Spirits, Project Athia, Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart and Spider-Man: Miles Morales. The 2 that got my attention were Little Devil Inside, because of the unique art style, and Deathloop, I remember them showing that title at E3 last year and looked interesting then and it still does now but I don’t know if it’s an immediate day one buy.

Overall, the event was definitely worth it and I think it was great that the console was shown to the world. Of course the internet already has memes for the look if it and they are definitely funny! Check them out when you get a chance! I give this event an A-, I am rating it really high because I came away from it knowing that a PS5 is definitely going to be in my future and there are so many games I want to get my hands on! They would’ve got a solid A from me if they showed the price but I guess that will be shown at another time. What did y’all think of the event?! Did it make you throw your wallet at the screen or you need to see more? Let us know! Until next time y’all, PEACE!
